ACEL has been awarded a major contract from Fiskerstrand Verft for the conversion of the Astron W ferry project.

The upgrade of Astron W. is extensive and includes a brand new hybrid power transmission solution with diesel-mechanical/electric PTO/PTH solution provided by Haf Power Systems AS (HPS), an ACEL subsidiary. In addition to a new integrated alarm system, LED lighting upgrade, multi-volt shore power connection, a new ship computer network, CCTV and a complete electrical installation for new crew cabins, accommodation areas and engine rooms in the extension of the ship. This also includes upgrading the fire alarm system.
